Walking Down The Streets in Bangkok

Last Sunday, we went to the busy city of Bangkok to try the tasty toast at Mont. We parked our car rather far away, and we had to walk through the alley to reach our car after the afternoon tea. I took some photos of the old houses and I really enjoyed seeing those local old people sitting on the benches, doing nothing much except enjoying some gossips.

My kids loved the walk too, but most of the time, they were not walking. LOL!

I saw some nice semi-wooden houses, and SIL told me that they belong to the monks. No wonder the houses are built around the temple (wat).

So, isn’t it nice to have a nice walk like this to see how the locals live and understand more about Bangkok? But after the walk, I felt like going to one of those massage therapy schools for a nice foot massage. :P

Family Trip to Bangkok

My friends and I have finally come out with the agenda. They will visit us in Bangkok next month, and since we have kids traveling along, it’s best to visit those places which are more fun for kids. So, here’s the plan…

Day 1: Arrive in Bangkok and shop at Central World

Day 2: Safari World and Marine Park

Day 3: Dream World

Day 4: Tiger Zoo and Crocodile Farm

Day 5: Shopping and rush to the airport!

The only problem now is hubby is not going to join us for 5 days, so we don’t have a driver! I can’t possible drive around because I don’t know the route. Furthermore, I can’t handle my kids all by myself at these places. So, I hope that hubby won’t be too busy with his customers and financial reporting so that all of us can have a great time on this family trip.

Farm Chokchai

Farm Chokchai is only a distance away from the busy Bangkok city, and if you are traveling to Bangkok with kids, don’t miss this farm where your children can experience the real Agro life which is uncommon for city kids. We went there some time ago and my kids enjoyed it a lot.

They saw the milking process and the clip on how pasteurized milk and ice-cream are made. There are lots of cattle there, and you can even try horse or pony riding, enjoy the cowboy and dog shows, and have some fun feeding the animals at the petting zoo.

We have plans to visit Farm Chokchai again but this time we will go for a stay.

Too bad we will only stay in the boutique tent but not in a farmhouse. I wonder how farmhouse sinks look like? Should be the same as our normal sinks huh? LOL!

BTW, don’t miss the steaks. They are super yummy!

A Break From Blogging

We went to a few interesting places in Bangkok, but I only blogged about them at my kids’ blog. I don’t have time to update most of my blogs, even if the niche fits. Maybe I will update more about traveling when my friends are here for a holiday. We will be going around in Bangkok city and Pattaya, so it’s going to be more interesting.

I went shopping just now and I think I should get a new pair of swimsuit. I haven’t bought any for years! It’s time to get a new pair of swimsuit, but not bikini. I bought some bikini last year, but I don’t feel like wearing them anymore, unless I lose weight with Slimquick. LOL!

Anyway, do check out my kids’ blog if you are interested to know more the places we went.

Home Soon

For the past 5 days, my hubby aka helper was away for a fair and I had to handle the kids all by myself. Before we came to Bangkok, I’m used to handling them alone, but since I’ve started working, I really don’t have that high level of energy. I really need some energy pills to keep up with things at both office and home.

My kids are great, but sometimes, they are driving me nuts. I guess my patience level is not as high as before, and I get tired easily now. I even had to turn down their demand of going to the playground one day as I was not up to it. I let them watch TV instead. What a lazy mother huh? But at certain times, I have to admit that TV is a great babysitter, as long as you don’t overuse it. I set limits for them too, and they won’t spend much time on TV, unless we allow so.

Hopefully, I won’t be too busy when we fly back some time this week. Without work for a week, I think my energy level will come back.

Life In Bangkok

I don’t have time to explore Bangkok like a tourist, most of the activities we did are pretty common, like those local Thai people. I like it when I can learn more about Thai culture, and my kids are exposed to different types of environment as well. We have long term plan to stay in Bangkok, so our kids have to grow up like Thai people.

We did bring them around but I only blogged about the trips on my kids blog. Maybe I’ve lost my touch of updating all my blogs in different niche, so I didn’t blog about them here. Besides that, I’m quite tied up with the exhibition of our products and air tools this week, so blogging will be left aside first.

Maybe I will have more time to travel by the end of the year. I still haven’t been to Chiang Mai!

By Sea

All our boxes have arrived and it took more than a month for all the 8 boxes to arrive in Bangkok by sea. We sent out the boxes within 2 weeks, but they were separated and shipped out at different shipment. I would suggest anyone who’s sending their stuffs abroad to do it by sea as it’s much cheaper than moving pods by air. It might take more time to get your stuffs, but if you are not in a hurry, why pay more?

So, my wardrobe is almost full now, but I won’t stop shopping!

I Miss The Beaches

A nice swimsuit is a must for a beach vacation. I’m dying for a holiday by the beach now as I’ve been working so hard for more than a month. I can still shop very often lately, but I miss the fresh sea breeze and sunbathing on sandy beaches. So, I just can’t wait for a beach vacation soon!!!

So, where should I go if I can afford to leave my work? Pattaya? Koh Samoi? Phuket? Argh!!! If only I can leave the office and head to the beaches now!

South Africa

I haven’t been to South Africa, but hubby went there once on a business trip. He was quite busy on the trip, so he didn’t have a chance to experience the South Africa Adventures at all. If we have a chance to visit South Africa one day, I would surely want to go for a safari tour. It might be a costly trip, but if we can’t save up on the day tours, I will try my best to look for affordable South Africa Accommodation.

Maybe we can just stay in one of the towns like Knysna and book a cheaper option of Knysna Accommodation. It seems like a peaceful and nice place for a family vacation. But if we can afford it, staying at Cuningham’s Island Guest House will be a better choice. I like staying by the beach and furthermore, we can enjoy a round of golf or nature walk at the nature trails. My kids will be thrilled if they can try out horse riding too!

So, we better work harder for a nice vacation like this!

Ayutthaya Tomorrow

My kids went to Ayutthaya for elephant ride before, but we might do it again tomorrow to refresh their memory about this wonderful experience. There are some temples nearby, so we might visit and pray at one of those temples too. Maybe I will get some closer shots of the historical landmarks. I didn’t do so for my previous trips to Ayutthaya, so hopefully I will be able to snap more photos tomorrow.

Let’s see what can I post here on my travel blog about Ayutthaya.
