Pack and Go!

Apr-29-2007 By

I don’t mind traveling with my kids, in fact, I love it! Traveling with kids is not troublesome after all, unless you are the type of parents who rely so much on your maid!!!

But then, we need to plan the trip in details if our kids are coming along. The hotel we are staying in has to be children friendly too. I will list down the things that we need to bring along first before the trip. Then I will get a luggage and try to pack everything, and see if it fits all. One luggage is better than a few as we have 2 kids, and if we need to handle too many luggages at the airport, it will be more troublesome. Yes, if we lose the luggage, we will lose everything! But then, I think it’s not hard to get the things that my kids need, unless we are traveling to some remote areas. They are still too young for that, so it’s not my concern yet.

Our Bali trip is still months away, but I already have the list of things to pack in my mind!

Nice Vacation Homes

Apr-29-2007 By

Most of the hotels or resorts I’m staying in last night doesn’t have kiddy decoration. If only the decoration can be as colourful and nicely decorated like this………..

I’m sure lots of kids will going to love it! You can actually nice some vacation homes from Orlando vacation rental with such nice designs. I’ve visited the site a few times and I’m really impressed at how homely the vacation homes are.

If I have the money, I will go for those with nice swimming pools! I just can’t wait to get a dip!

Aruna Vacation

Apr-29-2007 By

It’s a long holiday here, and we didn’t have anywhere to go. We should have planned a nice vacation earlier, but I didn’t know that hubby is not away on business until yesterday. If not, I will definitely plan for a trip and bring the kids around for a while. All of us misses the beaches so much!

If we can afford it, we will try a nice aruba vacation at the Caribbean. Just imagine being in Aruba,Venezuela with its beaches covered in luxury high-rise resorts. We can swim, snorkel, dive, sail, fish, try Snuba or Seatrek, and take a ride on a parasail or a banana boat. The kids can enjoy a jeep safari tour; hike the national park; mountain bike; ride horses; rent a scooter, a bicycle or even a Harley Davidson motorcycle, and go cruising for a day!!! Oh, maybe not, they are too young for that! :P

So, don’t you wish you just have more money some times? I know I do!

Hotel Stay Packages

Apr-27-2007 By

Previously, I used to received call from some companies asking me to sign up for their traveling package. They said that if I pay a few hundreds a year for the membership, I will be entitled for free hotel stays of about 14 nights throughout the year at a few hotels all over Malaysia.

I didn’t sign up, but was wonder why my number was in the Telemarketing Lists of a few companies? :P Well, you see…… Most merchants prefer to get services from telemarketing companies to get to their target customers. These companies like Martin Worldwide have a comprehensive database of customers, and they will help you to work out your marketing plans. That’s how they called me, but really, where did they get my numbers?

Hubby signed up before, but throughout the year, he had only used once! In one hotel in Penang for one night! That’s it! What a waste!

So, unless you are sure that you will be staying in those hotels, if not just don’t sign up that packages.

Bali Bali

Apr-17-2007 By

I haven’t decided on where to stay in Bali. Apparently, my friends who are going with us want to plan things out before I book the hotel. You see, I’m going with my kids, it’s a family trip, while they won’t bring the kids oversea type. So, how can the trip be the same?

Nonetheless, I will only discuss with hubby and get things decided by the end of this week. We are going on a peak season, and I don’t want us to end up with no where to stay! Besides, I guess I need to plan out a few spots that are suitable for the kids for sight-seeing. It’s our first family trip this year, and I hope we will have an enjoyable one.

Damai Laut

Apr-16-2007 By

I haven’t been there these 2 years, and I’m kind of missing Damai Laut today. It’s only one and a half hour drive from my place, so it’s pretty convenient to go there. Besides that, hubby likes it too, there is a nice golf course with wonderful Landscape Design, that hubby is dying to have a house like that! LOL!

Ok, not the golf course, but just the landscaping. Don’t you think it’s nice to have a garden as pretty as this? Ok, let’s be realistic, you don’t have to get exactly the same, but just get the concept and get landscaping companies to design it for you. Of coz, hubby can have something like this, provided if he has the money to get a big piece of land for his dream house first. :P

Golf Course at Damai Laut

If you are thinking of where to go locally, come to Damai Laut, Lumut. It’s really a nice resort for the whole family.

Missing Jayden

My neighbors miss their grandchild in London badly. They last saw him in Hong Kong 2 months ago, but still can’t seems to have enough of him. He’s really adorable, and about the same age as my baby girl. We used to joke about matching them up when they grow up. :P

They are planning for a trip to UK again within these few months. Most of the time when they are there, they will stay at their son’s place. Then, they will make trips to visit some parts of Europe with their grandson. Previously, they went to Germany and Scotland. But this time, they might visit France.

They have looked up some places to visit in France, mainly Paris, and will most probably go to the museums and galleries as their daughter loves nice arts. It’s easy to get all this information online now, so they can plan their trip in advance. Even if the daddy can’t read much English, but he has no problem interpreting the info as the site provides 13 different languages.

They still can’t decide on the hotels are there are lots of nice hotels available. But after checking out the hotel guide, they might book Bohemian Paris, as it’s not located in the city and will be more quiet. They want to spend quality time with the grandson, most importantly. Thus, a less bustle place will be more suitable.

Summer is coming again. If you haven’t made up your mind on where to spend your summer vacation, why not considering going for an Orlando vacation?

Orlando has about 52 theme parks which are suitable for the whole family members. If you prefer sunny beaches, you can just travel to Florida, and also visit the famous Disney World which is also a stone throw away!

Orlando is not just a good vacation spots for the kids, adults can easily find their leisure activities too. If you like to play golf, there are lots of golf courses around within 40 minutes from anywhere in Florida. So, golfaholic will definitely have a good time playing and experiencing in as many courses as possible, if they are physically fit for it!

Not only that, ladies, you can also shop till you drop in Orlando. So, think about it, and make sure you reserve a vacation home in Orlando early enough before they are fully taken.

We had the flight tickets ready, but I’m yet to book the accommodation for our trip to Bali in August. I’m still looking around, and in fact, I found a few places which I wish I can afford to stay there!

The first on my list is Bvlgari Hotel in Bali. I fell in love with the design of this hotel immediately when I saw it on TV last year. One of my favourite TV stars like to go there annually to relax herself. So, this hotel left a deep impression on me. Well, who won’t? The villas are gorgeous! And I like the serenity of the surrounding too, it would be a perfect place to forget about city life for a while.

Too bad we can’t afford it!
