The Blogging Freak

Aug-30-2007 By shoppingmum

I bought the 24 hours internet access card at Nikko for USD20. I got to get connected to check my emails and luckily, I got connection! I had 4 rejects but I only fixed 3 of them. I let go of one which was only USD5, the money was not attractive enough. :P

Luckily, it’s only for fixing up the stupid links. I don’t know why my blog URL were pasted together with the links…

When I was “working” at the lobby, my kids were taking their snacks. They were tired after the long journey on the first day, but they were behaving well.

I’m so happy!

 Me happy too

Hubby and I took some supper, it’s the cake and coffee set.

Tiramisu

See? Working and eating at the same time, so syiok!

Seafood Dinner

Aug-30-2007 By shoppingmum

We were brought to Jimbaran for seafood dinner by the beach shortly after we arrived at our hotel. It’s a nice place to dine at if you like the sea.

There are a lot of tables by the beach!

The beach is nice

However, my boy was very truly terrified by the strong wind and waves. He was basically crying and sticked to hubby like super glue. My gal was waiting impatiently for the food! She’s always eager at meal times.

Where’s the food, mommy?

Lovely Mummy, Zhi Wei, Mummy in Vain, and my family

The kids couldn’t take the seafood because it was very spicy. Frankly, if you cannot take spicy food, you better order the seafood by yourself. The local tour guides will just order the same thing for everyone and you can forget about eating them, just like the kids. My kids and Zhi Wei just ate the plain rice with soup. Anyway, I am ok with it when we are traveling, it’s something unavoidable.

The beach was very crowded, so I guess almost every tourist will come here once to experience the seafood dinner. There was a band singing at your table too, if you are willing to pay for it. So, we got breeze, beach, singing and moon light for dinner. Sounds good huh?

Great Stay at Nikko Bali

Aug-28-2007 By shoppingmum

I love the hotel. It is situated in Nusa Dua which is some distance away from Kuta. It’s quite deserted but if you like to stay in a quiet place, I would recommend Nikko Bali to you. I noticed that there are a lot of Japanese tourist there, as comparing to other nations. I was being mistaken as Japanese or Korean for a few times. Too bad, I can’t speak their languages and had to answer in English or Malay. :P

We got an extra bed for the room, actually it’s not really necessary as all 4 of us only occupied the 2 beds. One of the beds were left untouched. We like to sleep cramping with each other anyway. The room was very homely with wooden furniture as close as most home furniture in any exotic tropical resorts.

Our room has a sea view, so it’s very nice to look out of the window in the morning. The sun rises as early as 6am, and my kids liked to watch the sea and the pools from the balcony.

If you are traveling with little children to Bali, please take note that you can’t drink from the tap, even if you boil the water. It’s better to sterilize the bottles with boiled drinking water too. Luckily, my boy is old enough and his bottle doesn’t need to be sterilized anymore. My gal was on direct nursing most of the time, so it was very convenient for both of them.

I’ve lost count of the number of mineral water that we bought throughout that 4 days. But I was quite dehydrated as I didn’t drink a lot as usual, that’s why I had sore throat during the trip.

Arriving in Bali

Aug-28-2007 By shoppingmum

We set off to catch our bus at 3.15 am on 24 August. It’s very early, and out intention was not to wake the kids up. However, they got up and were very alert when we were boarding on our coach to the airport.

On the way to LCCT

But they fell asleep shortly after but I was very awake. I have sleep problem anyway. *roll eyes* Besides, I was busy with my Nokia N95 as I didn’t set it up nicely and I couldn’t update the blogs from the phone. It was very frustrating but what the heck, I should be enjoying my holiday. Let’s just forget about my emails, offers, stupid cbu mailboxes at the office and etc. I just want to enjoy myself!

Wake up loh!!! Where’s the plane?

We arrived at the airport at about 7.30am. My kids were so blur but they were excited. It’s nice to see them knowing what’s’ going on and fully aware of our family vacation.

If you are wondering if my little gal cried on the plane, oh well, it’s only when either hubby or I went to the washroom. Other than that, she’s going fine. I guess she has got adjusted as it was not her first plane ride.

On the plane…

When we arrived at the airport, the first thing we did was looking for the local map, together with a bunch of tourists. All kiasu huh? LOL!

Here in Bali loh!

Oh ya, the toilet is called kamar kecil, not tandas ok?

Toilet!

Then, our tour guide picked us up and we were on our way to Nikko Bali.

Let’s go loh!!!

Off To Bali!!!

Aug-23-2007 By shoppingmum

Ok, I’m leaving very very soon. I will updating the blog if possible, but international roaming is going to burn a big hole in my wallet. So, I better stick to Wifi at the hotel. :P

Stay tune for more updates on Bali ya?

BYE!!!!

Keen to Travel

Aug-20-2007 By shoppingmum

Someone asked me why I am so keen to travel? Don’t I think traveling is troublesome, especially with 2 young kids? Well, I know that we need to bring more stuffs and carry our kids along wherever we go when we are on the move, but that is what family is about. I won’t be able to enjoy myself if I constantly worry about my kids. Furthermore, we don’t have a house or a car to pay, so the money should be spent on a nice family vacation, if possible.

Anyway, if you are dying for a vacation, and coincidentally, if you have any Tampa real estate property to be sold off, you can get the help from Save Our Homes. Frankly, if you make a fortune selling it off, I bet you can have a nice vacation to anywhere you want. So, good luck ya?

3 Pairs of Bikinis!

Aug-20-2007 By shoppingmum

I realized that I bought 3 new pairs of bikinis, just for Bali. LOL! I think I have to make good use of them and parade in bikinis if possible. :P

Actually, my schedule is a bit tight, and I doubt if I have the time to enjoy the sunbathing. SIL had just come back from Bali last week, and she told me it’s raining season too. Damn….

Anyway, I have to put on the bikini for the beach. It’s Bali, what kind of vacation will it be if I can’t enjoy myself on the beach? BTW, I can still show off my body mah, still young. LOL! At least I don’t have to take any hydroxycut to slim down now. I still look “hot”! LOL!

How to Update This Blog?

Aug-20-2007 By shoppingmum

Actually, I was thinking about updating this blog from my phone. But my hand phone doesn’t have high pixels, so the photos may come out uglier.

I was tempted to get a new phone, but hubby asked me to wait. Maybe he wants to get for me, but don’t know when will it be. I have never bought a phone for myself too, all the phones I had have been given from him. So, to keep my blogs updated, or to check on my emails, I guess the laptop has to come along. That is the only way to stay connected without worrying about storage or IBM memory.

However, I wonder if I have the time to go online? So if the pictures of the blog are ugly, don’t blame me. It’s my lousy phone.

Traveling with Truck

Aug-17-2007 By shoppingmum

The thing about traveling with truck is you can load a lot of stuffs in it, but hubby’s truck doesn’t have a truck bed liner and thus it will dirty the luggage and our stroller. So, I still prefer to put the things in the car if it’s not too bulky.

But hubby doesn’t want to get the back of his truck snapped with liners because he uses it to transport his mold base some times. Anyway, we won’t be going for a trip in a car soon. Let’s see if I can fit a trip to Genting again after coming back from Bali.

Malaysia International Firework Competition

Aug-14-2007 By shoppingmum

My kids like firework and my boy has been telling us that he wants to see the firework again. I told him to wait for the National Day as most of the states will have their own fireworks. But if we are going to KL between 18th August and 2nd September, then we might go to Putra Jaya to check out the Malaysia International Firework Competition which is being held over there.

Malaysia International Fireworks Competition 2007 Putrajaya International Convention Centre will be the venue for the 1st Malaysia International Fireworks Competition.
The magnificent view across the lake overlooked by the grand Seri Gemilang bridge will be the main focus for two weeks. From 18 August 2007 till 2 September 2007, Nations from Australia, Japan, Italy and Malaysia will be competing for the Merdeka trophy.

If you are wondering if it’s for free, well, NO! You have to get the tickets. But is it necessary? I bet we can see the sky from afar. LOL!
