Mangrove Tour in Langkawi: Part 1

This is the best thing we had in Langkawi. At first, hubby and I just wanted to go shopping in Kuah but the hotel staff advised us to go for the mangrove tour. It cost RM300 for a boat, but it’s worth it. The trip is awesome!

We were driven by a taxi to Tanjong Rhu where we met up with our boatman.

There are a few activities you can do in this area, just as shown on the board.

I will update this mangrove tour in a few posts as it’s quite lengthy. Firstly, here are the boats. You can ask for safety jackets if you don’t feel comfortable with it, but we only put ours on once we reached the open sea after the whole tour.

We set off into the river where you can see lots of mangrove trees on both sides of the banks. It’s really nice feeling the speed of the boat and having the strong breeze messing up my hair. LOL!

A few minutes later, we came to the spot where there were more than 15 eagles feeding on the river. They are wild, but they won’t attack anyone unless you go too near. Both hubby and I decided on the spot that we got to bring our kids here someday and let them see those eagles. They will definitely love this more than those kids party invitations.

After that, we went to Crocodile Cave where crocodiles were spotted years ago. Our boatman said he hadn’t seen any crocodiles for some time and frankly, we didn’t want to see anyone either. :P

We went to a fish farm shortly after and I will update that in another post.
