Frankly, I hate the place. It has nothing to do with the turtles but the attitude of those who work at the center. I ranted about it at my personal blog, so hop over to the link above if you are curious. My kids were excited when they found out that we planned to bring them to see the real turtles. They read about it from some books and saw the turtles once at KL aquarium, but it was a long time ago.

This turtle hatching center is managed by Jabatan Perikanan Malaysia (Department Of Fisheries Malaysia), and it’s entrance free. No wonder they have such bad working attitudes!!! Besides that, the beach is so dirty, it’s definitely not a good spot for picnic. Nonetheless, most children will love to see the baby turtles because they are simply cute.

There are bigger turtles too, and judging by the sizes, they represent the different stages of a turtle’s life cycle. I’m not sure how old are the turtles because there aren’t any details written about the turtles and no one bothers to entertain the tourist as well.

In short, don’t come to this center with high expectation. You might not be able to visit the turtles due to the lousy working attitude of the staffs.

Now you know why I didn’t need a usb flash drive to store the photos of the center? I didn’t feel like snapping photos after waiting for the whole morning.
