Do You Still Go for Travel Agency?

Oct-30-2009 By shoppingmum

Hubby’s friend is interested in setting up a travel agency, and he’s asking if hubby is keen to join him. Frankly, I don’t think that his plan will work as he has no experience and connection in travel biz. He might make it if he gets travel top franchises, but doing this on his own is going to take a lot of effort and it needs a lot of money!

Maybe it’s due to the fact that I won’t think of travel agency, when I’m planning for my trips. I can get a lot of info from the websites or forums and it’s not hard to get the flight tickets and hotels online now. So, will you still go for travel agency for your vacation plan?

Hard Rock Penang

Oct-22-2009 By shoppingmum

I wished to visit Hard Rock Penang today, but there was a heavy pour and we canceled our plan. Maybe we will go there next week, if time permits.

I’m a Hard Rock fan, but I haven’t stayed at any Hard Rock hotels. I just prefer some other hotels which are located at remote areas, that’s all. :P My friends chose to stay at Hard Rock Bali, while I stayed at Nikko Resort and only dropped by Hard Rock for sightseeing. It’s not that I need to stay there and use the heated blanket to see Hard Rock myself. :P

Maybe we can just have our lunch there. It should be great for me to try out my camera skill! Yippie!

A few more days…

Oct-22-2009 By shoppingmum

We will be reuniting with hubby in a few more days, and I’m sure that the kids would love to spend some time with daddy. Too bad we don’t have time for traveling in Malaysia, if not a short trip away will be nice. We don’t have a car here, so it’s a bit inconvenient for traveling too. What if we rent a RV? Is there any local rv towing services available? Who knows if we need one? :P

Anyway, it might be a good idea to just spend some time as a family at home or visiting relatives. Hubby has been pretty busy at work and he deserves a rest too.

Counting Down to November

Oct-17-2009 By shoppingmum

I love November as it’s a months of celebrations. My birthday falls in November and so is our wedding anniversary. It’s the month when my hubby proposed to me too, so there are a lot of celebrations next month and I better get some weight loss products fast so that I can squeeze in nice dresses!

Besides that, I haven’t got my bikini, and I hope that I will look nicer for our beach trip in Phuket. I’m counting down to November, and it’s only a few weeks away!

Hotel Stay!

Oct-13-2009 By shoppingmum

Hubby won a free night stay at the recent golf tournament he participated, and he was very excited about it. Since we haven’t spend much time as a family lately, I think a night away at a nice hotel is great for quality family time. It’s only a hotel in Bangkok city, but at least we can dine at one of the fine restaurant at River City, and it should be a great evening for us. :)

But now, I shall have to think about how to burn fat so that I can squeeze in a nice dress for that fancy dinner. Gee…I’ve really gained a lot of weight this month!

Lazy…

Oct-1-2009 By shoppingmum

Back at home means being lazy and not doing anything much. Not working, not blogging unless there is a need, not snapping photos, not waking up early and the list goes on. All I do is eat, eat and eat. LOL! I’m going to need some weight loss pills after a month stay at home. :P

But then again, Penang food is too good to be missed. Even if I haven’t snapped any food photo, but I’m having a good time eating without bringing my camera along!

Thinking of How to Pack

Oct-1-2009 By shoppingmum

I only declared one medium size luggage for my flight back home and I think I need to add 2 more check in luggage bag. But most luggage bags have a weight, even if it’s light-weighted. So, I might just check in 2 carton boxes for the things I plan to bring back to Bangkok. So far, I’ve only bought some skincare and acne product and I haven’t seriously shopped yet.

But for only 15kg, carton boxes are the best option, if I wrap them well. Mmm… I should start looking for 2 boxes now!
