Koh Samui?

May-31-2010 By shoppingmum

I’ve been so busy at work today, I feel like taking a breakaway again. But then, I can’t afford to have one, not until the end of the year. There is so much to do, I really can’t just walk out from my job. Sigh…

I’m kind of missing the beach, but I don’t want to go to Pattaya. I’ve done too many trips there, and the beach is not nice anyway. I wonder if we have time for Koh Samui? Maybe something in October? I wonder if it’s the rainy season? Mmm…

But before that, maybe I should get myself the top fat burners. I can’t put on my bikini like this!

Guests Here

May-31-2010 By shoppingmum

Hubby’s brother is here for a short break, and they have the whole week well planned out. Today, they will be a Siam Paragon and the kids will visit the aquarium. I hope that we will bring our kids there again since it’s been awhile since our last visit. The glass boat ride is fun, if you can take the idea of riding on water with sharks at your the bottom of your feet!

Anyway, they will plan a day for shopping, and also check out the eczema treatments at the skin clinic. There are a lot of skin clinics in Bangkok, and most of them are quite affordable. I hope that I have time to join SIL at Platinum Fashion Mall. I’m so desperate for a retail therapy.

Serious Traffic Jam

May-27-2010 By shoppingmum

Most Thai will be leaving the city for the long weekend, so the traffic should be pretty bad this evening. I don’t think I will be caught in one as I leave work way before the traffic jam starts. Nonetheless, the road should be rather busy, and traffic can be rather slow. I better plan my time well.

When we were first here, we would plan for short trips away, but now, we don’t have mood for that. Being caught in a bad traffic can be very tiring, especially if you need double the time to reach your destination. There was once when we took more than 8 hours to reach Korat, and the kids basically trapped in the car, and slept most of the time without sleep aid. It’s so bored for them, and us too!

So, the best place to be during holiday is our home sweet home, or the shopping malls!

A Link to Share

Hubby had hemorrhoid previously, and it was quite a painful experience. I used to joke with him that he sh*tted too much, that’s why it’s hurt. LOL! I’m so bad… :P

Anyway, here is the link of a natural hemorrhoid treatment, do check it out if you are interested. I might forward the link to hubby too and see if he still needs it. LOL!

BTW, I was very lucky not to have any especially during my pregnancy and post natal. Some mothers do experience that, and it’s quite unpleasant.

Long Weekend

May-27-2010 By shoppingmum

It’s the long weekend in Thailand tomorrow, but hubby and I are working on Saturdays. I guess it’s going to another boring morning for us, but we have some guests here in the afternoon. The kids can have fun playing together while the adults get some catching up done.

It’s nice to have peace back in Bangkok again, and Siam Paragon is now open. Maybe we can go shopping as I need to check out an acne treatment cream and get some books for the kids. I hope that my guests are eager to shop as I do!

Not Going To Melbourne

May-27-2010 By shoppingmum

SIL is going to Melbourne in August but we can’t join them this time. Hubby doesn’t have day off and the kids have got to go to school. :(

This is quite disappointing as our plan to go to Australia has been delayed for more than 2 years. It’s like it’s not going to happen any sooner, either due to work or due to $$$. Sigh…

Anyway, I hope that next year will be an easier year for us. We really need a break. Maybe we can just break our health savings account for a nice holiday! But that is a stupid move. It’s best to work on it and save up separately.

Fresh Air

May-26-2010 By shoppingmum

I wonder if we need an inogen oxygen concentrator at home? Maybe it would be great for our health but maybe it would be an extra gadget that ends up in storeroom once I got bored with it. :)

We do not live in the city which is more polluted. The air quality is pretty good in our area, as long as we keep the windows open, the house is quite ventilated.

I hope that we can afford a house in this area next time. I actually found one, but it’s beyond our budget. Gee….maybe we should work harder!

Raining Season

May-26-2010 By shoppingmum

It seems like the raining season is back. I don’t have any patio furniture, but I don’t like the terrace being wet most of the time. It’s very slippery, and some people fell at my steps previously. :P

I’m just worried about my kids. My boy fell days ago, and now I’m quite paranoid with their safety. :P I guess I better mop the floor dry as much as possible to prevent any accident.

Healing Process

After a few months of Red protest, everything has finally come to an end. But Central World is gone. Some people were killed but I am not sad over the protesters that passed away. They were given chances to leave but they didn’t take it. It’s not easy to end this fight without the use of military since the protesters were well armed as well.

The damage is very bad for this country and god knows how long will it take to recover. No life insurance quotes cover terrorism right? But now everyone knows how dangerous can hatred be.

Its time to put those criminals into justice and bring peace to the land of smile.

Can’t Be Sick!

May-10-2010 By shoppingmum

I’m trying to force myself to take one a day vitamin. I can’t afford to be sick and I have to be in fit condition always. There is so much to solve at work, I can’t bear to be sick and miss a day’s work.

Anyway, it’s going to be tough for 5 years to come, and hopefully, this phrase will be over soon and I can see some fruits bearing. :)
