Loss and Gain

I’m supposed to fly to Osaka in February but the trip is postponed due to $$$ disrupted by the flood. Sales are pretty bad these 3 months, customers can’t pay and we are suffering from cash flow again. What to do? Forget about oversea training trip loh!

I won’t be getting the kids a wii motionplus nor any expensive gadgets for Christmas this year. We need some time to recover from the loss of the flood.

But then again, we should be able to move into our new condo next month, hopefully I will be in time to set up our Christmas tree!

Frugal!

Should I get one of those olympus cameras for my boy now? He’s been asking for a camera but I feel that it’s too early for him to owe one. Maybe a few years later, I will get him a camera. He used to have all my digital cameras, which are all spoiled now. LOL!

Actually, we should spend the money wisely now so I don’t be getting him any expensive gifts.

5 weeks into flood

I went back to my flooded house yesterday in shorts, julbo sunglasses and rain boots and everyone thought that I looked too cheerful and happy in the pic posted in Facebook. Actually, as depressed as I used to be over our lost and flooded house, I can’t do much except accepting it.

I hate to see how much we have lost too, and I know that we have to spend a lot of money again. Nevertheless, being sad and depressed can’t help much.

Love it

Thanks for the post from Stan Atkins

I went to a Cable TV Advisor when I first moved in to choose the best satellite package for me and I went back and forth trying to decide which channels I needed and had to have. Turns out it was all a mute point since the only one I ever really watch is Oxygen, anyway! I love Bridezillas more than anything and the people on there have just gotten trashier and trashier season after season. I can’t imagine subjecting myself to cameras in my face all the time like that and it’s no wonder they’re constantly exploding with anger and arguing with each other! I also like Bad Girls Club which I’m embarrassed to say because it’s such a ridiculous show. I mean, I’m a grown woman and shouldn’t be watching this kind of junk but I really do get a kick out of it all! There’s nothing anyone could tell me to convince me that winding down with a little reality TV at the end of the day isn’t good for the soul.

Maid please.

A lot of people are either jobless or they can’t go to work right now. I think it takes some time for all to go back to their positions, including myself. Life is so screwed up now and my biz has been stagnant for weeks. Cash flow is stuck and goods can’t be delivered. Forget about looking for Medical Equipment Repairer Jobs as I already have a job now which I can’t carried out.

Damn, I really need a maid. I can’t do much with my kids tagging along.

Lousy

I so hate my life now, it’s so chaotic after the flood and I’m losing myself. I can’t even get my hair and nails done until yesterday. And it may sound so lame, but I deserve to treat myself well, after being stuck at home with kids and home and FIL 24/7. House chores pile up even if the condo is small and I have been cooking and washing all day long. Hate this!

I don’t mind doing this if I can have some ME time. I need to get my hair and nails done weekly, go get a tuble of eyelash growth and some make up and buy some new clothes! I have been living in minimal out of suitcase, and it sucks.

Skiing

I can’t ski, and I have only been skiing once in my life. I fell a lot and couldn’t balance myself well, even if I tried pretty hard. Honestly, I’m not very sporty, so it’s not surprising that I don’t ski well. But hubby loves skiing and he’s good. He led me on a short journey ofdownhill skiing with me holding onto his waist and he did all the job. I must say that skiing is very fun if you know how to do it right!

I hope that we can plan for a skiing trip in Japan one day as the kids haven’t seen snow before. But with our current situation where we have lost a lot in the flood in Thailand, it’s impossible for us to plan anything except getting our condo ready, rebuilding my business and get back to our normal life.

Flooded

I went to Home Pro sale last weekend and was shocked to see how expensive sferra sheets are selling her e. I can’t possible buy such expensive sheets now so maybe I will drop by BIG+BIG this Sunday, if the flood hasn’t hit the city yet.

We have to prepare for our move but things are not going as expected. Our old house is all flooded and it’s non accessible anymore. I can’t move out bulky stuffs out anymore, and might be expecting most loss as water has flooded the house.

I guess we will need to strike a lottery to buy everything in cash now!

Shopping for him

I’m glad that my hubby is not into mens designer clothes. He hardly shops for himself but yesterday, I noticed that he has a tear on his sleeve on one of his working clothes, but he didn’t tell me about it. I shall shop some clothes for him after we have moved and settled down.

It’s me who shops for him mostly, and as long as it’s not trousers, it won’t be too hard to get the right size.

Safe

Driving through a flooded road is not fun at home. I had almost needed roadside assistance yesterday when I drove past a road with 30cm flood water. It’s a mistake to go there yesterday, so you can’t imagine how frustrated and scared I was driving in the water.

The flood is getting worse but then again, we have evacuated. It was a false alarm but I don’t care. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
